Entering the parks



These parks were used for artillery practice by King Charles when he made Oxford his capital during the civil war. Now they are the University Cricket ground, as well as a public park. This is the view across the parks as you walk through the gate. To your right is a footpath. This will take you along the side of the science area and to Mansfield College, the next stop.
